The VARITECTOR SPC module is characterized by a high degree of protection while being compact in size. The electronic unit can be removed from the base during the test – without violating the measurement circuit. Thus, this product is ideally suited for automation and control circuit protection.
VARITECTOR SPC R modules have an internal error indication. A green LED when it is on means a working protection function. A red LED indicates an error. This information can be transferred to an optional data processing unit (V-Control) and then transferred to the controller for further processing.
Maintenance of this device is simplified by using a test device, with which you can determine the residual life of the device. This verification method complies with IEC62305.
Due to the ability to remove the electronic module from the base, the VARITECTOR SPC can be used as a regular terminal. This is a very important function, because usually in control cabinets every millimeter of space is counted. The module width for two digital or four analog inputs is only 17.8 mm. Another useful function of this module is the ability to quickly install it on a terminal rail, and the color coding of electronic inserts allows you to deal with various operating voltages. All this creates the prerequisites for the effective application of the VARITECTOR SPC surge protection module in the control and measuring sector of the industry.
