Weidmüller’s new MICROOPTO solid-state relay is designed to work with inductive valves. It is, in its essence, an inductive load amplifier with electrical parameters up to 24 VDC / 10 A.
The switching module operates with a maximum current of 10 A over the entire temperature range up to 55 ° C. In addition to this, the width of the module of this relay is only 6 mm.
The MICROOPTO solid-state optical relay is ideally suited as a signal amplifier from the controller (with parameters 24 VDC, 0.1-0.5 A). The leakage current sensor monitors the occurrence of errors such as short circuit or overload. Thanks to the integrated protection against short circuit and overload, the opto-relay can be used in very harsh environments. In case of an error, an independent sensor will send a signal to switch the circuit to safe mode.
The presence of spring jumpers (ZQV 4N) allows quick switching. Protection class IP20 (protection against touch), the ability to mount on a standard TS35 rail and the presence of a color indication of operation (green LED – the device is working correctly, red – an error has occurred in the output circuit) – the basic characteristics of each module from the MICROOPTO series.
Solid state relays are electronic devices that combine at least two functions: they provide optical isolation and work as an amplifier.
Solid state relays have several advantages over conventional electro-mechanical relays:
MICROOPTO electronic modules are shipped with the Weidmueller logo.
The MICROOPTO product line is very similar to the terminal block product line:
The housing is mounted on a standard DIN TS 35 rail, and the conductors are mounted using screw connection technology. Conductors with cross sections up to 4 mm² are suitable.
