Special connectors for industrial applications

Weidmueller introduces a new line of industrial Etherneta cables with already installed IP67 bayonet connectors that are specifically designed for EtherNet / IP networks.

In industrial IP67 Ethernet / IP networks, the use of option 1 connectors is required. For these cases, Weidmueller offers special bayonet connectors that have the following useful functions:

• A special form of connector has been developed to reduce production costs and provide a high level of safety during operation. The compact form of the housing together with the integrated holder allows you to avoid cable bends.
• Bayonet connectors belong to option 1 of the international standard IEC 61076-3-107 and, thus, are approved for use in industrial Ethernet / IP networks.
• The connecting cables can be of various lengths.

The IEC 61076-3-117 standard requires 14 connectors to be used in industrial Etherneta IP67 networks based on PROFINET or AIDA. For these purposes, Weidmueller has developed push-pull connectors that are superior in performance and ideal for use in harsh industrial environments.

Thanks to the 27 mm center mounting hole, IE connectors are easy to install. Another advantage is the wide range of cables suitable for installation: from 5 to 10 mm in diameter. Also, these connectors can be used in conjunction with the following types of fiber optic inserts: SCRJ (MM, SM, POF) and LC (MM, SM).
