The most difficult when creating the design of new railway cars is the installation. Therefore, it is very important that everything is prepared in advance, and that all pre-assembled components can be connected in a few steps. So, Weidmüller has developed a special solution for the railway industry – it is a cable junction box rated for 3 kV and ready for connection in the temperature range from -40 to 70 ° С.
Typically, the cable is laid already at the facility, and, as a rule, it must be removed from the housing for installation and crimping of the cable lug. Only after that the cable is placed in the housing.
Weidmüller has developed high-voltage junction boxes with large cable entries for this purpose, so that the crimped cable with the cable end easily passes into the housing. This allows you to quickly connect the prepared cable to the ST-400 terminals inside the box.
