The innovative 16-level PRV terminal with PUSH IN connection, capable of distributing 1700 signals per meter DIN rail, sets a new industry standard and is a unique solution in its class. Weidmuller PRV and PPV marshalling and distribution terminals are specifically designed to distribute signals to power plants and the processing industry.
The automation process becomes more complex and demanding every year. There are more and more different sensors and measuring instruments that need maintenance, so designers have to increase the number of connections in a cross cabinet, which requires additional space and leads to an increase in cost.
Weidmuller has accomplished this task by developing new PRV and PPV distribution terminals with advanced PUSH IN spring connection technology. The PRV and PPV lines are the idea of efficient distribution of signals for cross cabinets in automation projects of manufacturing facilities. The compact PRV and PPV terminals provide simple and efficient signal distribution and satisfy all existing requirements.
Despite alternative signaling technologies, such as remote I / O and Fieldbus systems, incoming and outgoing signals pass through terminal cabinets. Thus, quite a few arguments for using terminals. They are reliable, with a simple type of connection, facilitating the construction of a practical and visual electrical system.
Compact terminals PRV and PPV are in demand in power plants and in the manufacturing industry. The line of PRV terminals consists of 4, 8 and 16 level terminals, and PPV in turn consists of 4 and 8 level terminals.
The 16-level PRV terminal with PUSH IN connection, capable of distributing 1700 signals per meter DIN rail, sets a new standard and is a unique solution in its class.
The “PUSH IN” connection provides protection against contact and accidental short circuit. The dual connection with PUSH IN technology provides a simple signal distribution and can also serve as an additional test socket. “PUSH IN” allows you to easily connect the prepared crimped wire to the connector. Moreover, such contact is reliable, vibration-proof and gas-tight. Compared to other types of connection, this technology provides a very tight distribution of wires and ease of installation and maintenance. High-quality, clear matrix marking and color designation of each connecting segment facilitate the connection and further use of the terminal. Red and white contact indications speed up and simplify the installation process, as well as prevent incorrect connection.
A unique feature of the PRV and PPV terminals is the V – shaped conductive bus. It compensates for the expansion of the material with changing temperature or environmental conditions and guarantees stable contact and minimal contact resistance for many years.
An additional latch at the base of the terminal allows it to hold tightly on the rail under heavy installation loads. On the other hand, the construction of the terminal base guarantees an additional support point.
