This is possible thanks to a sensitive, durable keyboard element that is installed between the membrane and the front film. Profiline keys not only give the best “answer”, they are extremely reliable in operation. Along with standard protection against dust and moisture, an integrated acrylic plate protects the metal membrane from possible deformation. Even strong point force influences cannot damage keyboard surfaces. Profiline is a unique technology of the highest class; The presence of a patent license is a convincing confirmation of our improvement with the aim of creating high-quality tactile and ergonomic keyboards. Profiline “Hoher Spacer” (HS) and Profiline “Embedded Spacer” (ES) options allow you to integrate more additional keys on existing keyboard pads. This is made possible by using a higher distance pad and a reduced key embossing height.

This new Profiline variant matches the design and installation of a traditional film keyboard. However, due to the increased height of its base, a lower location of the film pad is required. In fact, the required height of the remote laying depends on the topology of the keyboard and is determined by a specific project, however, the minimum height is 2.5 mm. The basis, depending on the complexity of the circuit topology, can be performed both in the form of a film and in the form of a printed circuit board. Thanks to the use of transparent material for the manufacture of remote laying, among other things, completely new possibilities appear for integrating additional LEDs and creating a planar backlight effect. “
Profiline ES (Embedded Spacer) (embedded spacer)
Profiline ES is in accordance with the design of the base variant Profiline HS. However, in this case, the keyboard is fully integrated into the housing, while the wall of the housing partially acts as a remote strip. Thanks to this concept, the depth of the film surface warming can be significantly reduced or this will not be necessary at all. Thus, the principle of Profiline ES can actually be applied to any enclosure. In the case of using a special housing, the recesses for keys or plate inserts can be immediately integrated into tools without large expenses. As with Profiline HS, the required liner thickness varies and can be matched to the case wall thickness and embossing height. “
