Angle sensors
Shaft type angle sensors have a mechanical shaft. There are two main options. The first are Hall effect devices with an internal magnet attached to the shaft and detection circuit. The second have wipers that are attached to the shaft and pass along the resistive path.
Non-contact angle sensors have a magnetic marker that is attached to the rotating component of the application, which requires measurement of the angle sensor. It is physically separated from the sensor.
Hollow shaft angle sensors are designed to install the rotating shaft of the application in the center of the sensor.
Type of rotating shaft
This category combines the measurement of the absolute angle of Hall sensors and potentiometric sensors with resistive elements, including rotary potentiometers and panel mounting types. Subcategories include low torque, precision, amplified potentiometers, gears, motorsport, magnetic sensors and more.
Contactless rotary sensors
The family of non-contact angle sensors has a permanent magnet that is attached to a rotating object – usually to the application shaft. The sensor does not wear out because there is no mechanical connection between it and the shaft. Sensors range in size from 13 to 90 mm to cover most applications.
Hollow shaft
Novotechnik hollow shaft angle sensors provide high-quality construction, precision and allow for various shaft sizes and configurations.
Swivel MultiTurn
Novotechnik multi-turn rotary sensors are available in 12 different series / models up to 100 revolutions.
