General Electric RE Series Electronic Thermal Protection Relays

Electronic overload relays have been designed primarily to protect electric motors and associated electrical circuits. The operation of these devices is based on the principle of monitoring current in the motor starter circuit. If the current exceeds a predetermined boundary value, or there is a loss of current in any phase, the device will connect a disconnection circuit that will turn off the power to the starter (contactor) and protect the circuit.

Thermal protection relay for contactors from 0.16A to 850A, technical characteristics and advantages:

  • Low power consumption: Save cabinet space
  • Greater precision: Enhanced motor protection
  • Total Reliability: Low Engine Burn Hazard
  • Phase imbalance protection: Advanced motor protection and current monitoring
  • Direct connection to CL series contactors: Compact starter
  • Interchangeable with thermal overload relay: No need to reconfigure existing cabinet
